Setup a TFTP server on your computer with the static address 192.168.0.66 - Put the image (without UBoot!) into the TFTP root directory and rename it to wr941ndv3_tp_recovery.bin

Now connect the WAN port of the router with your computer's ethernet port, power up the router and hold the reset button pressed (stop pressing the reset button when the lock symbol led turned on).

use this recovery striped file: http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/download.php?id=17664

I would first try to get the tftp to start, usually works for most TP-Link routers: http://wiki.villagetelco.org/Serial_Port_Access_and_Firmware_Recovery_for_TL_WR842ND

Instructions: http://www.trishtech.com/2015/06/unbrick-tplink-wr740n-wifi-router/

File naming: http://bkil.blogspot.ca/2014/12/hidden-tftp-of-tp-link-routers.html

You can try interrupting the boot sequence, usually done by hitting ctrl + C (at the same time), repeatedly until the router stops rebooting itself.

I have done several serial recoveries before using some of the commands on this wiki page: https://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Serial_Recovery

for best results with TFTP make sure you use win 7 and disable firewall or antivirus software...
if reset button doesnt work try with WPS button or try WAN port instead of LAN sometimes they switch those procedures on different router models....
in general TFTP all instructions for TP-LINk routers are quite similar, you can also try different TFTP servers instead....
