Hi,
I'm hoping for a little bit of help.
I have a Belkin F7D4302 Router and want to get it to permanently connect to my VYRP VPN connection.
Golden Frog are not very helpful but have sent some instructions which, in my case, dont seem to work.
I have searched the router model on here and tried various firmware updates.
I never seem to get the option to enter my VYPR username and password as suggested in the Goldenfrog link.
I notice on another solution entering this info in the Command Shell but this doesn't seem to work either.
Now I have a mish-mash of firmware and codes on the router.
I need to start again with it but wondered if anyone has come up against this and managed to get it working?
Links I've tried so far:
https://support.goldenfrog.com/hc/en-us/articles/204102956-VyprVPN-OpenVPN-Setup-for-DD-WRT

http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=492842#492842
I didn't load the F7D3301 firmware in this link. Just tried the F7D4302 versions.

All help (as long as its not too technical Shocked ) is appreciated.

Many thanks.

What build are you using? Name/password is on newer builds, do not use the latest build I think the latest build without major issues is 32170.
Check the threads/wiki for your router and the peacock thread

Hi egc.
I have tried the following:
dd-wrt.v24-21061_NEWD-2_K2.6_big
dd-wrt.v24-21061_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega
dd-wrt.v24-21061_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini
dd-wrt.v24-21061_NEWD-2_K2.6_openvpn

I have searched F7D4302 and peacock but nothing came up with the 32170 build. Any idea where I can get different builds from?

Cheers

If you want OpenVPN then the mini will not do, use openVPN or Mega build (if your router supports it).

Recent builds can be found at: ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2017/
If you want the latest which is a bit stable that is 32170 have not tested it myself.
30880 is regarded as a good and stable build, but I have not tested it with OpenVPN: ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2016/11-14-2016-r30880/broadcom_K26/

Be sure to pick one which is suitable for your router

Hi egc.

I did a factory reset followed by a 30/30/30 then uploaded the ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2016/11-14-2016-r30880/broadcom_K26/dd-wrt.v24-30880_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_f7d4302.bin which is for my router (f7d4302).
As you mentioned, the options are not there so I'm guessing I will need the open VPN as you suggested.
Looking at the link you sent, there is no specific OpenVPN for my router.
Do I just upload something like ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2016/11-14-2016-r30880/broadcom_K26/dd-wrt.v24-30880_NEWD-2_K2.6_openvpn.bin
on top of the mini build that I've just put on?

Thanks for your time (and patience!)

Cheers.

According to the supported devices wiki: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices#Belkin
your f7d4302 has 8MB flash so openvpn or mega build should be fine.

The peacock thread does not mention that you have to use nv60k/nv64k builds so the regular mega build should be fine: ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2016/11-14-2016-r30880/broadcom_K26/dd-wrt.v24-30880_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega.bin

Always reset and put your settings in manually and always do your own research, altough I am labelled a Guru, I am barely a novice Smile

Hi egc,

Once again, thank you for your help. I installed the mega build and all the options I needed were there.
I'm not sure about "Novice" but compared to me I would put you up above "Guru" Very Happy

Very much appreciated.

Regards

Zeb
