If Kong is done, do we stay on 1/8 build or move to BS?

A little of topic sorry. After I flashed to 31924 just now i noticed top right hand side WAN IP: had a value in it (My ISP IP). With my old Kong Build this was aways blank.

Since I connect via Open VPN should this be showing my ISP IP or the VPN IP. Not sure why it was always blank for my old build.

Just got a copy cheers.

Do you have a link to the source? Or a copy of the 31924 WRT1900AC V2 build you should share?

Here, didn't know if you needed the webflash or the factory to dd-wrt. I'm not telling you what to do with your router, but there are some security fixes that these do not include.

I'm confused. What is meant by "Kong is done"? Is there an announcement somewhere?

Different router. But, I see that the page I usually get builds for EA8500 is still there. Is that still being worked on?

EA8500 is IPQ and not a Marvell.

I know.

Did he just quit supporting Marvell and is still working on IPQ?

Yes, because of the problematic Marvell drivers.

There is a copy in EVERY DD-WRT beta release folder (ref. the link in my sig), although it will be named factory_to_dd-wrt.bin. It can be safely renamed to .img

You MAY need to downgrade your stock F/W to 1.1.18.* prior to upgrading to DD-WRT (this F/W is readily available on the Internet - use Google).

I recommend r31924 for the WRT1900AC v1, which you can download from this thread: https://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=309686

i'm a relative newbie compared to some of these folks but if there was ever a release that could be labeled stable or ready for general availability, 31924 deserves the nod.

i had run all of kong's builds on my v1 then jumped on the bs wagon. 31924 was the best ever in terms of performance and stability. there was one slight nas bug where u may have to do an "apply" after rebooting the router. bs fixed that in a subsequent build but not sure which.

so long live brainslayer and get on board.

I'm still running Kong's 31100 (1/817). I don't see any reason to update at this point. I've been up and running without incident for months.

Version r31924 was pulled because of issues with Broadcom chipsets but it was stable for Marvell chips. I too am looking for r31924 factory to dd-wrt for the WRT 1200 AC V2. Anyone out there in cyber space have a copy?
