so the MAC clone. As soon as you clone it, do you get a WAN as soon as you hit apply? It's a pain to have to constantly reset modem when loading different FW to play with. What I am doing wrong? I feel like my ISP (spectrum/charter) has similar rules.
In my case, yes I get a WAN connection when I clone the MAC without power off/on of the modem. May have too give it a minute or so. As I understand it, and could be wrong, the modem keeps the MAC it saw and will not use another until a power cycle. So, in my case, cloning gives the modem the same MAC and everybody is happy. _________________ Unifi Security Gateway:Unifi Firmware Netgear r7800:Voxel Firmware Modem:Netgear CM500V voice and Data. thanks. I'm probably giving up too soon and not letting cloned MAC associate as long as it's the HW MAC that's required. I'll try again. _________________ Linksys WRT1900ACS V2 (AP) -- DD-WRT v3.0-r32868 std (07/27/17)
