Searched the forums and only found a single post mentioning this router. As far as I can tell it an Atheros router with specs similar to the Linksys EA8500 which currently has beta builds.

Checked the rules and I am not sure if I can post support requests here, but is there any chance the EA7300 will gain any sort of support. Would appreciate it as the router is working good enough, just its not the same without the right firmware.

100% chance it can be supported, if the devs have a unit to port with, which they probably dont so..

I just want to say, I'd also like to see support for this router. It is a common router sold at best buy and the like.

I will buy and ship one of these to Kong as he was the first to tackle the EA8500 and quickly before it was branched to Brainslayers repo.

Kong if you read this message me with your shipping info and I will send one.

I am sure BS has enuff to do without worrying about a 1750 router.

I am interested in the VPN speeds as it should do identical to the EA8500 but at half the price.

If all that is needed is a serial dump I can do that also.

I wouldn't hold your breath. That SoC is only on in 5 devices, all of which are Linksys, none of which are currently supported. A hardware donation is almost guaranteed to be required. If you really want a good router for VPN, get a Netgear R7800. It is supported.

Tech Gurus,

Any update on Linksys EA7300 Router.

As the name is still not in the list. Can I use any other Version for this router.

Mainly I need to have IPv6 support. Thats why very urgent to convert this router into DD-WRT.

SIMON.

No news yet.

Watch the SVN timeline: https://svn.dd-wrt.com/

This is probably still going to need a hardware donation.

The v1 and v2 are both MediaTek. This thread should be moved to the correct forum.
