Could you comment on what you did to make this work? Was it just making the BIN file smaller by removing TOR?

Can anyone please confirm this works on their B1 version of the 880L? That's the version I have. I currently have 30432 on it and am looking to update it.

Thanks!

Whoa...never heard of a B1. Only A1 and A2. You sure it's not an A1? I have an A2. All four of Packetloss' 880s are A1.

Sorry I just double checked, the unit says A2. My mistake.

Quarkysg, thanks a lot for figuring this one out and sharing your builds! I have it running on my home DIR868L (rev A) and it's working great so far (speeds good, SSH working, OpenVPN server working). It's good to have DNSSEC.

Glad that I'm able to help extend the useful life of old routers. The D-Link routers are actually quite capable, so it should still have many more years of useful life left.

My next project is to see if I can 'fix' the issue of SFE with PBR, which I also want to have working.

Also, I do hope the dev team can help fix the issue and close the ticket I've raised.

Meanwhile have fun with the new firmware!

Hi folks,

When you download, please make sure you verify the checksum against the sha256sum.txt file to ensure that the downloaded file is not corrupted.

What am I missing here with the checksum? see attached image, please advise & thanks in advance

It means you need to re-download...or get a different checksum tool. Smile

Did you use the reposted link http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1094758#1094758]here? I downloaded it just now and it matches (checked w/ Peazip's "PeaUtils" checksum tool). Output report:

@ jwh7 yep downloaded PeaUtils from sourceforge and perfect match. BTW nice little program with the context menu.

@ quarkysg thanks for your efforts! I have the 868 and wanted to put one back in service for a friend but with the current status of builds it wasn’t worth so I wound not have been doing my friend any favor, going to install your build and give a try later today. Thanks you again.

In theory, yes. DIR-868L Rev A/B/C uses the same firmware image. You have to be running a version of DD-WRT first before upgrading. You cannot flash to this version from factory firmware.

That would be awesome, I also like to have SFE with PBR on my Limksys EA6900 and R6400.

You are doing a great job!

Hi folks,

I've uploaded another build to the link below:

https://app.box.com/s/b4v1s342ef2dpd52j02lqtuzi1oiipco

This build should allow PBR with SFE activated. Do help test it out if you're adventurous enough Razz

For DIR-880L owners, this build also fixed the 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless LAN interface LED Razz So now you know whether the 2.4GHz or 5GHz interface is on or off.

Have fun!
