I am at a lose as to explain your issue. If testing on router and pc both show that a url (name such as google.com) can be resolved, but the browser does not work is a real head scratcher and I do not have a suggestion at this point.
In my case I have Comcast. I can power cycle the modem and when it finally comes back up I can browse the Internet. Same if I power cycle the router. Just installed LEDE in place of DD-WRT. Router cycled after config and no issues browsing. Only time I have any issue is if the MAC on the router changes. Then I have to cycle the modem. Reason I always clone the MAC on DD-WRT or LEDE to the same value so that things just come up.
Am sure your ISP is of no help since you are using a "3rd party router". When they replaced my modem recently I could not get to Internet at first. His tests to Internet worked so the tech basically said good bye and good luck. Was no biggie. _________________ Unifi Security Gateway:Unifi Firmware Netgear r7800:Voxel Firmware Modem:Netgear CM500V voice and Data. Telnet'ed into router. Both numeric and url pings work. pings included 8.8.8.8 and google.com. Everything worked.
3. Every ping works - both numeric and url.
I had a similar problem recently but a different cause (where I could ping addresses but not browse to them). Mine was fixed by disabling the Shortcut Forwarding Engine.

Interesting. Have heard of other issues caused by SFE being enabled, but not that.
@greenpjs is Shortcut Forwarding Engine enabled? That is the default. Try disabled and see. I always run with it disabled because of reported issues and as I understand it, you need a down link speed higher then 300 to have an effect. Mine is 90. _________________ Unifi Security Gateway:Unifi Firmware Netgear r7800:Voxel Firmware Modem:Netgear CM500V voice and Data. Sorry for asking this question here. I have a WRT3200acm and I've installed the latest Davidc502's LEDE Rango 2017-09-22. I have not seen any rebooting yet but I got the problem with reconnecting to AC wifi from my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (I will try to see if I have the same problem with BGN wifi). The connection seems OK but no internet. If I try to remove this connection from my phone and reconnect it again, the internet works again. Should I switch to use the latest BS DD-WRT to resolve this problem?

Would latest BS DD-WRT fix? Only way to tell for sure is to try. I do not own the Galaxy in question, but know that other Galaxy's had connection issue until a recent fix. Not just 3rd party was effected, but also Netgear Orbi that I know of. _________________ Unifi Security Gateway:Unifi Firmware Netgear r7800:Voxel Firmware Modem:Netgear CM500V voice and Data. Thanks for your advice.
Should I just download a WRT3200acm factory-to-ddwrt.bin and flash it from Linksys stock? After flashing DD-WRT, if I want to go back to LEDE, can I just reflash it from Linksys stock again with a LEDE factory img file?

You are correct. When switching between different 3rd party Firmware you must do so from Linksys GUI.
For this you use the factory to dd-wrt file.
The dd-wrt webflash is for upgrading DD-WRT once you already have DD-WRT installed and are flashing from the DD-WRT GUI.
In your case you will always want to return to Linksys Firmware and flash or upgrade with factory to dd-wrt.
This way you always keep Linksys Stock Firmware on the other partition for when/if you want to return to LEDE.

Enjoy DD-WRT!
Thanks. Actually I did use DD-WRT with my Linksys E4200 couple years ago and it worked pretty well for me. Before deciding to buy this WRT3200acm, I checked and saw that it is being supported by OpenWRT and DD-WRT but after installing LEDE I'm little disappointed.

Each one has it's own merits & faults. I think a lot has to do with each person's setup, environmental factors, etc...
From everything I have read on this Forum it seems two people can have the same router and Firmware version, but only one experiences a particular issue.
For me DD-WRT has worked great and I have no intention of switching to another 3rd party Firmware or back to Linksys.
It would be nice to have a special DD-WRT build for the WRT1900AC v1 that has the previous 4.4 Kernel version like LEDE has, but I'm happy with the build I have now (31924).
Lots of WRT3200ACM owners here so I am certain you'll be able to find any information or help that you may need. _________________ DD-WRT Installation & Setup TUTORIAL http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=311117

Here's a final update on this subject for anyone following the thread. I gave up yesterday on getting it to work like it used to work. I reset the Ubee cable modem, turned off bridge mode, turned on DHCP, and let my router become the modem's one and only DHCP client. Everything is now working well. The router has 192.168.0.3 as its IP address. All traffic is going through a double NAT process, but speed seems normal. (I don't do gaming or anything that requires super low latency). I am assuming either Spectrum has a bug that shows up only in bridge mode or the modem was setup incorrectly, but I'm tired of beating my head against the wall so I'm leaving it like this for now. Thanks to all who tried to help.
Here's a final final update. Not only did my workaround fix the "it doesn't recover from a modem reboot" symptom, but the modem stopped rebooting altogether. It has been up since Sunday since I turned off bridge mode and turned DHCP on. I can only assume something in Spectrum's system didn't like the way my modem was setup and kept rebooting it in hopes that the issue would go away. Too bad no one at Spectrum even hinted at that possibility.
