Hi Guys,

Good day!

I have here 2 dlink router with dir 859 firmware but i decided to change its firmware into dd-wrt cause i found out that dir 859 is not applicable for bridge mode.

My query is, can anyone of you will help on how to configure this router so that they can communicate wireless?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Guru!

I follow the instructions and successfully joined the CB to primary router but I have this problem, can't ping the wired device connected to the CB. Do you have suggestions or recommendations?

for you to imagine, we ping it without internet connection. We wanted to share files offline using those to routers wireless.

Thanks in advance!

Did you change the IP Address of the secondary router?

Also, make sure the Wireless Security Settings are the same on both routers.

WPA2 Personal
AES

First try switching both routers to Full 20 MHz Wireless band.

Second try a newer build here:

Noted and I'll do that. but first, i'd like to ask your comment about my set up on primary router.

here's the thing, we don't need internet connection so basically WAN would be disable.

Ip Add: 192.168.250.10
Subnetmask:255.255.255.0

assign wan port switch:checked

dhcp: disable

firewall:disable

is that right?

Not for Primary router. Settings are for Client Bridge router

The reason you don't need those settings on Client Bridge router is they are handled by the primary router
Your primary router should be standard setup.
