|
After having used dd-wrt on my WNDR3700v2 for years without issues, i decided to upgrade to the latest version:
Router Model Netgear WNDR3700 v2/WNDR37AV v2/WNDR3800/WNDR38AV
Firmware Version DD-WRT v3.0-r33525 std (10/17/17)
My setup is quite simple, cable modem and dd-wrt router (same as it has been for years)
cable modem = 192.168.0.250
dd-wrt = 192.168.0.254
dd-wrt wireless in AP mode.
default gateway on dd-wrt = (cable modem) 192.168.0.250
default gateway on clients = (dd-wrt) 192.168.0.254
dnsmasq used for dns (localdns option) and dhcp
clients are in the same network 192.168.0.*
All my clients get there resp. dhcp adresses and can reach each other (wired and wireless), as well as a webserver, pi, amplifier in the same local network.
When i try to reach the internet, no go.
Strangely enough, DNS lookups do work...
I discovered that after pinging the gateway (192.168.0.250) internet connectivity starts to work...
Any ideas on the cause of this ? (because its a bit cumbersome to ping from an iphone...) |
