I am wondering if this is a bug in the new krack code or something but after upgrading to this build my samsung galaxy s8 cant connect anymore to my wrt1900ac v1.
It says authentication error and then retries over and over.
I dont know what the krack patch does, i dont know if it just fixes client mode and mesh, etc. or if it implements the one fix i read about where the AP can force the client to reauth if it thinks its being attacked.
If its the latter i was thinking maybe there is a bug and it thinks my galaxy s8 is being attacked and wont let it auth or something?
I had a problem where my clients couldn't connect on 5Ghz, but they could connect on 2.4Ghz. I changed the definition of the 5Ghz wireless channel width to VT80 from VT40 and now it's ok. _________________ Linksys WRT1900AC V1

Sorry it's not working for your WX station..
I guess you are connecting via WiFi...My weather station (FINE OFFSET WH1080PC) works on 900Mhz from the transmitter to the Wx base. Wx base connects via USB to a laptop always updating to my Webpage and Weatherunderground as well as others...Just have to make sure on mine that Windows does not allow power management to turn off usb ports which can stop the data.

You're using a WRT1900ACSV2 with a completely different weather station connected in a completely different way on a different piece of hardware.
He is talking about a WRT3200ACM running DD-WRT Then reverting back to stock software.
It's interesting info (yours) but not relevant in any way.
Thanks for your intent.
Folks here are specifically trying to get specific things working (not work around's or alternatives), this is the whole idea of these forums.
Just installed r33525 on my 3200 (16:04 edt). Upgraded from dd-wrt build r33215 without going back to LS FW. Process went quickly, came back up & started my VPN.
Kept same settings (=no factory reset) running dd-wrt OpenVPN AES-256 24/7; WiFi all turned off; SFE off; QoS off;
This router is still in tier2 of my router stack =still testing;
Overall, it seems to be running faster in terms of responding to the connected laptop (wired connection) than r33215 did.
Now to get a Kill switch; decent logging; & some version of split tunneling & a warning to notify me if the VPN is lost?
But first, how do I set up to get to my modem at 192.168.100.1 (which is of course outside the routers subnets)?

Not sure. My modem is 192.168.100.1 and I get there without any issues. I am running a basic config. Routing and wireless client support. No VPN or anything else that would play with firewall settings. Currently running r33525. _________________ Unifi Security Gateway:Unifi Firmware Netgear r7800:Voxel Firmware Modem:Netgear CM500V voice and Data. @myersw, Thanks for the reply. I'm fairly sure it has to do with the VPN, but don't know exactly what. Perhaps I need entry in the IP tables to bypass the vpn for local addresses like the modem?
Btw your sig says you're on Comcast & have an Arris TM822R VOIP modem ? with a router in it too? Do you own it? If so, where did you buy it? Comcast here is telling me that I can only use a VOIP modem router rented from them if we want their telephone services. Normally I always insist on owning any equipment that is in the house.

Unfortunately, no. 31924 does not have the patch for WPA2 vulnerability.
I’m hoping that we may be able to get a ‘ special build' for the WRT1900AC v1 with the 4.4 Kernel.
This would give us all the benefits of the newer builds, including the KRACK patch - without the reboots.
