Hi folks,

I've uploaded a new build. Other than the usual fixes committed by the dd-wrt developers, this build includes changes I've made to the Shortcut Forwarding Engine driver with the following changes:

1. Allows acceleration of network packets that are policy routed. You can now use OpenVPN with PBR and also enable SFE.
2. Accelerate IPv6 network packets where previously all IPv6 packets are ignored.
3. Disabled a competing SFE connection manager where previously two connection managers are initialised. This should reduce router CPU usage further.

The download link below:

https://app.box.com/s/b4v1s342ef2dpd52j02lqtuzi1oiipco

This version has been successfully flashed for both DIR-868L and DIR-880L (my main home router).

Have fun!

Does this build fixes the KRACK vulnerability?
And which stock-to-ddwrt should i use?

Unfortunately I do not have a DLINk router but I am anxious to get your enhancements. Have you communicate them to Kong and BS so that they could add them to the source code?

You are doing a hell of job kudos to you, much appreciated!

is DIR 880L rev A1 has an overclocked CPU Broadcom
BCM4708A0 @1000 or it has https://wikidevi.com/wiki/D-Link_DIR-880L_rev_A1 @800 if so there is an error in DD-WRT supported router database

p.s. just found one on decent price on Ebay uk, but i better get one more R7000 for the same price Wink

AFAIK routers using Broadcom wireless chipset running DD-WRT are still vulnerable to KRACK. Have to wait for Broadcom to release patches to the DD-WRT devs.

Use the factory-to-ddwrt.bin file for r30432 to flash from stock firmware. You can download from the dd-wrt website. After than you can flash using my r33570a build.

880L should be clocked at 800MHz. At least mine is. I overclocked it to 1000MHz using the CFE console. Seems stable so far.

I’ll upload the shortcut-fe.ko kernel module later for you to try. Don’t have it with me now. If you’re running an ARM CPU router on kernel v4.4.x, should work.

Nope my 33575 comes with KRACK fix.

Cool. Looks like the fix is checked into the SVN repo. I have to admit that I do not know how to verify whether the fix is correct tho. Anyway I’ll release another build for the 868L and 880L later today.

I believe these are the commits:

The commits affected the wireless interface. Many others are reporting WiFi issues with Kong’s build. Looks like more work needed for Broadcom routers.

Unfortunately my build (33586a) that’s supposed to have the KRACK fix does not seem stable. I encountered WiFi issue where after a while, data transmission stops, even tho my client is still connected to the router. I’ve reverted back to r33570a until there’s another fix released by the devs.

You can try my r33586a but I suspect you will see WiFi stability issue as well.

Oh, Ok...Thanks.
Will wait for stable release, then.

Thanks for this build.
I am running 33570a for more than a week on my DIR-880L and it's working fine.
