Cntl-C in the Serial window right when you power it on....until you get a "CFE>" prompt

issue

nvram erase

get your tftp program ready with a mini_610n.bin.

Now issue

go at the CFE> prompt and start the tftp program.....if it doesn't start flashing....your timing isn't right...try again.

once it flashes...you should be good to go.

No MIRCO builds on this unit.

Hi there,
why 3.3V is not required?
I'll use a RS232 to TTL interface (still has to come) which needs to be powered in some way...

With a tester I can see 3.3V pin on the router board HAS 3.3V power so I can get it from there, right?

I just purchased a audio to USB cable and plug the cable according to this post https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=16733&p=2, unfortunately, I am unable to see anything using Hyper Terminal. My router is wrt610n v2. I tried just about everything and currently running out of clues. Does anyone have a clue to what is happening....why I am not getting anything when the terminal is plug and the router is turn on. Please assist with this. The router at this point has the power light just flashing because I convert it to an E3000 and then downloaded the wrong firmware. Ever since the power light just flash on and off repeatedly. Thank you for any assistance.

Hi, just to report, i've revived my bricked WRT610n v1 thanks to Hans_it post here :
http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=255594&sid=2b1b314b475906eb23385136c95b34e6#255594

I soldered small pieces of cable onto the serialport pads, connected to usb-to-serial (CP2102 USB 2.0 to UART TTL 6PIN Module Serial Converter from ebay)
Didnt get anything over serial port, but after a while I disconnected 3.3v and shit started to flow over serial output as soon as router was plugged in.

Followed Hans_it instuctions except I had to break the boot procedure with ctrl-c instead of Enter

Orginal linksys WRT610N v1 firmware flashed back with tftp (router is 192.168.1.1 and computer is 192.168.1.20):
http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=650793#650793

Then I flashed this dd-wrt image from orginal linksys firmware :
http://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2010/08-12-10-r14929/broadcom/dd-wrt.v24_mega_wrt610n.bin

final image flashed was a kong build :
http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt-ren/K26/r18730/usb-ftp-samba3-vpn-nv32k-broadcom.bin

thanks everyone

I just tried the Brainslayer build 33555 in an effort to patch for the KRACK vulnerability and wl1 is still broken. That build is
