Hi. I have a D-Link DIR 615e4 which was update to firmware v3.0-r33413 std (09/27/17). Now I try to upgrade device with new firmare but I can not and I don't understand why. I choose the required file click button Upgrade but it looks like upgrading process does not working! Before I saw "live" image with message waht for 299 etc seconds after that router is rebooted. Now I see this:

Upgrading firmware may take a few minutes.
Do not turn off the power or press the reset button!

I see moving progress bar and nothing happends. Sad I tried to upgrade from Firefox and Edge - the result is the same. What I do wrong? Could you someone give me advice how I can upgrade? Thank you.

Like the posted above mentioned, try TFTP: https://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/TFTP_flash

TFTP32 or TFTP64 are the best tftp programs, same program different architecture.

Although, that being said, I have several DIR-615 e3 (same as e4 hardware), that refuse to upgrade from 33215, same issue. Upgrading screen does not actually upload the firmware. I have tried tftp and it does not work either. I even tried serial/tftp, no go either. I have not given up, I just put it on the back burner for the moment.

Ya i got 2 DIR 615 e3's buggered up like this too, i can get to recovery mode but no go get some kind of image id error. it would be fun to get a fix for testing and playing purposes, but maybe it's time sadly to recycle these guy's.

Can I use this software for upgrade from already installed DD-WRT firmware to DD-WRT latest firmware? As I understand after tftp flash my configuration will be lost?
But how it can be, I upgraded 3-4 times before w/o any problem and I now I have?

You can use TFTP upgrade to go to a newer dd-wrt release. It may or may not keep your config, it depends. If you are going from a very old build (<32XXX) to newer, I would suggest you reset to defaults and then upgrade via TFTP. Then input all of your settings in manually, don't restore a backup.
