Wow, thought I was the only one. Yesterday all lights were lit and the device didn't respond anymore. A hard reset (pulling the plug) brought it back to life.

I had my V5 lockup last night too....I had almost no activity on it.

For the neutered routers....I have given up on V24. I went back to V23 SP3 06/20/07.

No more testing on the V5 with V24....too unreliable with the 8M Ram.

I'm glad others are finally confirming the problems with v24 micro releases (from betas up through RC3, I've tried them all) that I have had. But Redhawk0, why 6/20/07 SP3? I haven't had any problems with v23 SP3 micro generic 7/21/07. Have you had problems with this release that I should know about?

I don't have a real "solid" reason...but here is my reasoning.

06/20/07 was a very stable release and was the last I tried before switching the V5 to V24. The V24 06/20/07 was also VERY stable but the driver is larger.

Starting with the V24 July builds there were a lot of radio problems, August things started getting better...but no more V23 builds after July....so...I went back to V23 06/20/07

I know it works...I know it's stable (enough) and since I no longer use the V5 as a repeater....V23 SP3 06/20/07 will work just fine for me.

Would you please explain what you mean by "massive activity?" I'm using RC3 on a GL 1.1, pulled in over 6GB of data yesterday, everything is working fine. Current up time is 2 days, 14 hours. I'm also noticing the transmit errors are a lot less than previous releases. Currently only 187 transmit errors. In previous releases the number would now be in the 1000's. RC3 works fine for me.....

I am using V24 06/20/07 also, very stable for months, up time over 2 months, few days ago I try RC3 mini, Under heavy usage, my WZR with 64MB ram seems ok, but another one, WHR-G54s, always lockup, may be memory leak? or something like that?

I've bee streaming video from a slingbox to a wireless client for the past 6 hours (NFL Footbal) at 1.5 Mbps with no crashes on a Buffalo WHR-G125 I also did a fair amount of streaming an worthless >1gig file transfers (just to see the bandwidth graphs) and my router has been up since I flashed RC3 on Saturday morning.

I've been using v24 06/20/07 micro in my Linksys WRT54G v5, but I think that v23 SP3 to be worth developed; is the most solid version till now

I reverted from v24 to 07/21/07 v23, with two computers with wired connection; I don't know if wireless connection is solid with this version, but I think v24 has many bugs in release candidates version, and v23 is the lightest version, with smallest size

My RC3 is also freezing up. I'll be on Xbox Live and notice that the server pings are all red, then I'll go into the web console and notice that my cpu activity will be at 0. Literally, it will be something like 0.0, 0.0, 0.1 or something like that. After reseting it will be fine. Seems to happen at least once every 2 days.

running: rc3
router: wrt54g v3
