I got my router from Amazon and I pretty much have only been using the default settings, changing minor things like the Wireless SID and opening ports up.

Here's a hint when attaching a new router to Comcast:
Either do the "Mac Spoof" of your current device / router that's attached to it, OR...
1) Release your current IP.
2) Unplug your device that's attached to the Comcast modem.
3) Turn off the Comcast modem.
4) Plug your new router (off) into the Comcast modem.
5) Turn on the Comcast modem, let it fully connect to the Cable network.
6) Turn on your router
It should then get an IP.
I found that most Comcast modems are very picky about only letting on ONE device at a time, and if it has given out a lease for another device, it won't let you put anything else on until that lease is released or it expires.
As far as the WZR2-G300N,
i'm -very- interested in using it, but as you said earlier... if it's not supported, I'd rather not take a chance.
has anyone found a reliable way to tftp the wzr2-g300n? i've tried 10 times tonight with various processes outlined here including windows tftp and linksys tftp. i've upgraded 10s of the whr-g54 so i understand the process. is it that this has such a narrow window?
Is it possible to spoof the firmware to allow the buffalo firmware to upg a dd-wrt bin without using tftp?
too bad, this looks like a nice router at a nice price point

Buffalo released a firmware update for this router. Now that one is available, I might try flashing dd-wrt onto it (so I can revert back, if necessary).
It's not an update. Original ver. is 1.26 as well.
Yeah, I know. I worded my post incorrectly. However, there was no fw file available previously. So at least now there is the opportunity to flash back. I still haven't had the time to try it out though.
