I have a 4mbps line and I get almost exactly half down and up speeds than I did before I flashed to dd-wrt. Is it possible that dd-wrt has reduced performance on my router, and now I am getting a slower throughput? The info page suggests I am connected at 36mbps. Also,

Signal-Noise-SNR-Signal Quality
80 -98 18 16%

I thought an SNR around 20 was great? Is that correct? My signal quality always seemed to be much higher with the original firmware. I have upped my xmit power to 70mW. Could this be detrimental to my speed? Also, browsing the web GUI seems to be slow. What's going on? Sad

I really hope it's not dd-wrt not being fully compatible with my router wrt54g v2.2, as it's wealth of features are invaluable compared to the stock firmware.

Never mind, this morning everything is back up to speed. It must have been an ISP cap.

Even though it is back to normal now...it is probably because TCP/UDP released some connections.

Check this out for long term stability
