Web GUI running extremely slow. Can't reflash

I have a WRT54g v8 and I flashed it with DD WRT. It works fine unless it is power cycled, then it needs to be rebooted. Well it got unplugged, and I plugged it back in and couldn't connect to the web based GUI. So I reset the router. I tried going to the default IP but it was taking forever so I pinged it, and it responds. So I typed in the IP and let it sit. It loads but it takes about 2 minutes for each page. I have tried reflashing it using the web based GUI and it said that it failed although it looked like it loaded all the way. I have also tried rebooting it through the GUI. Anyone else have this problem or know any way to fix it?
