I bought an Asus WL-500W to install DD-WRT on. I get the router in what appears to be restore mode (power light is blinking after powering up with the restore button pressed), but the Firmware Restoration Utility reports "no wireless device in recovery mode is found" after 31 seconds. I have tried this repeatedly from two different computers, making sure there is only one network interface enabled on the computer.
Any ideas on getting past this? The tftp link in the Asus installation part of the Wiki is no longer valid. Is there another way besides the Asus utility to get DD-WRT on the WL-500W?

Decided to forget about the restore utility and try a tftp just as the router is powered up and that worked:
tftp -i 192.168.1.1 PUT dd-wrt.v24_mini_asus.trx dd-wrt.v24_mini_asus.trx
waited a few minutes and then power cycled the router and dd-wrt was there.
