Router/Version: Asus RT-AC87U R
Update method: WebUpgrade
File/Kernel: asus_rt-ac87u-firmware.trx_r55033 std / Linux 4.4.302-st48 #10937 SMP Mon Jan 29 05:28:59 +06 2024 armv7l
Previous/Reset: r55009 / no
Mode/Status: Gateway / Up and running for 3:21 hours
CPU Temperature: CPU 63.6 °C / WL0 40.0 °C / WL1 0.0 °C (ambient temperature 17.0 °C)
Issues/Errors: Nothing significant

As always, the Quantenna chip has its own quirks. This is a closed source chipset
There is no way to install a channel. Crying or Very sad
But you can disable 5.0 GHz. @mpgalaxy hack "If you set the radio mode to station bridge and disable the network mode, the 5GHz device will turn off completely even after reboot." Wink

The fact is that the router is connected to the Internet (to the Internet provider). And it reports an error, the red WAN indicator flashes (the icon in the form of a planet). The internet works, I just think it's a glitch.
But this does not affect the work.
Just relax
Cool

CPU temperature readings started changing after one second from 62.5 - 63.6 °C

Thank you BS and gurus!

Previous: BSr55003
Mode/Status: Gateway/working
Reset: nope
Uptime: 3 hours
Issues/Errors: Buffers alot

This build has been buffering for me on twitch.tv and it is every stream. I did a power cycle of the router and my ISP's modem but that did not help. Going back to r55003 which did not.

Bad build for Asus RT-N18U. You might be denied access to the router if you were using USB as /jffs and /opt. Hot-plugging a USB flash drive to this build might stall the kernel.

ksmbd was still not working properly. I am wondering whether the USB problem and ksmbd issues were pointing to some critcal kernel changes.

Do NOT flash! Stay with build 54682.

Update: Because of stability issues in the wireless connections, I went back to build 54637!

ksmbd does not work with my wndr3700v2 router neither. It's running a 3.10 Linux :

r54682 Linux 3.10.108-d11 #149561 Tue Jan 2 09:12:10 +06 2024 mips, ksmbd works
r55033 Linux 3.10.108-d11 #151692 Mon Jan 29 09:39:22 +06 2024 mips, ksmbd doesn't work

Error example : if I try to copy a folder containing about 10 files and a total of 100MB data using a Windows 11 station to my wndr3700v2 running ksmbd, the Windows copy status bar strangely goes forward and backward, finally saying the folder is already in use. I then choose "ignore" for every file, and finally nothing is created except the folder. Btw folder delete works. Load average also goes quite high and does not come down easily. After a few minutes, load average still reports "2.11, 2.01, 1.37"
