Hello !!
Is the possibility to connect a gdi printer to print server in ddwrt ? I want to connect a Konica Minolta bizhub 215. I readed that some of the gdi printes like HP to work must be loaded a firmware to router. I dont't know if Konica Minolta will work and I don't find any firmware from that printer to router. Can anyone help ?

Moved to General as this is not a hardware-specific topic and does not apply to Advanced Networking.
I'm failing to see the problem as it has USB and Ethernet interfaces. You should be able to connect it to your network either way. Don't know what you're on about.

I know that printer have an network cart but that is optional. My printer have only usb.
The network card for this printer costs almost as much as the entire printer.
The routers are much cheaper. If print server dosen work with that printer is the possibility to start working with function usb over ip ?

As a basis, check whether your printer Linux compatible (as dd-wrt is Linux-based). Some printer manufacturers are lazy/cheap, and want Windows to do all the job (clasical GDI). In that case, you better consider replacing that printer.
In any case, you can enable the USB port on your router, printer compatibility, and check whether your particular printer is detected, then you can share it. _________________ If you want support, please read first the announcements and forum rules.
