File/Kernel: asus_rt-ac87u-firmware.trx_r55179 std / Linux 4.4.302-st49 #11050 SMP Sat Feb 24 06:42:18 +06 2024 armv7l
Previous/Reset: r55109 / no
Mode/Status: Gateway / Up and running for 5:01 hours
CPU Temperature: CPU 63.6 °C / WL0 40.5 °C / WL1 0.0 °C (ambient temperature 17.0 °C)
Issues/Errors: Nothing significant
As always, the Quantenna chip has its own quirks. This is a closed source chipset
There is no way to install a channel.
But you can disable 5.0 GHz. @mpgalaxy hack "If you set the radio mode to station bridge and disable the network mode, the 5GHz device will turn off completely even after reboot."
The fact is that the router is connected to the Internet (to the Internet provider). And it reports an error, the red WAN indicator flashes (the icon in the form of a planet). The internet works, I just think it's a glitch.
But this does not affect the work.
Just relax
CPU temperature is not displayed correctly.
CPU temperature readings started changing after one second from 62.5 - 63.5 °C
Thank you BS and gurus! _________________ Atheros

Summary
Unable to manually start ksmbd:
Code:
# service samba3 stop
sh: can't create /sys/class/ksmbd-control/kill_server: nonexistent directory
# service samba3 start
sh: can't create /sys/class/ksmbd-control/kill_server: nonexistent directory
Other than these, most functions were working OK. Wifi was not stable. for my iPad, but fine with an Android tablet.
Because of (missing??) ksmbd, will roll back to build 54682 after more testing...
Update:
Wifi was not stable BOTH for iPad and Android devices. Rolling back to build 54682!!

There are two issues, one where the vlan page is populated even though disabled is checked, the reboot fixed this and two, where the wl1 settings would vanish from the GUI after reboot but would still broadcast an open connection with the default SSID "ddwrt". After a reset to defaults, the wl1 settings showed up in the GUI so i did a fresh config and all seems to be fine and i have been using it since.
I will be using this build for now unless it is unusable for me. Thanks DEVs.
