Hello.
I need help. I need current instructions, since the guide in this forum is from 4 years ago, It's not accurate from what I've seen. Or I could be wrong.
So I had SmartDNS running for months until it all of a sudden stopped while I was out of town. I run DNSMASQ for my local DNS. I have a jffs usb drive mounted, where my dnsmasq and hosts entries are located.
Code:
I am running Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r54604 std (12/26/23). My ISP is Xfinity. I have no issues using regular DNS which is overridden to 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 and 1.1.1.1.
Code:
My DHCP network is 192.168.10.0 and my router is obviously 192.168.10.1.
I have a number of secondary wifi routers in order to increase bandwidth for different devices (connnected house by only through manual operations - no magic). I also have a number of bridges and routes and port-forwarding settings but these should not in theory conflict. All VPNs on DDWRT are disabled.
I would like to use only the hosts below plus my DNSMASQ. I had to reset my DHCP and turn off my SmartDNS to get back on the internet and now I want to set up smartDNS correctly.
Please help me with the most current settings to use. Feel free to ask any additional questions. I will post any additional details. I have no way to debug SMARTDNS since I am running the default version that came with my DD-WRT but I'm willing to experiment if required and if the first attempt to setup SmartDNS fails. My thanks in advance.
Here are the servers/settings that I did manage to save. TBH, I collected them from one of these forums. As you can see, I only picked the privacy enhance no logging servers. Or at least that was the intent.
Please help me configure:
Code:
DNSMASQ
SmartDNS
So that they can run peacefully together like they were before.
