Hello!
I need help with a dead TP Link 840 v1. I tried to update it to DDWRT due to poor performance and it never let me access the GUI again. It opens the "Broadcom - CFE miniWeb Server" screen and doesn't allow me to load any other firmware.
I saw an old post that provided a solution to the problem, but obviously all the links are down and I couldn't find anything related but up-to-date.

It's from one of my clients and I need to solve it, please help!

The Broadcom version 1.0 of this router is NOT currently supported, only the v1.1 Atheros (China) version is.

WR840N v1.1 Atheros (China)

https://wikidevi.wi-cat.ru/TP-LINK_TL-WR840N_v1 (Broadcom)

TL-WR840N v1 (Broadcom) Bricked

The files needed to restore are attachments in TP Link TL-WR840N v1.0 - stuck at CFE. thread. There was also a suggestion to use a mini K2.6 generic DD-WRT bin file to flash DD-WRT, but no indication of any attempt or success, so Caveat Emptor.

Thanks! I had missed one reply. Very helpful. Now I'm struggling with wifi after boot, but at least I have the TP Link firmware back.
If you know anything about wifi after boot, please tell me, if not, you can close this post.

Again, thank you!
