An update, after power cycling, it's probably borked worse than before, get one series of flashing amber lights on the back of it then nothing.

Will try some more troubleshooting later on. Wouldn't advise you try what I did.

Edit - think I just bumped the ethernet cable while power cycling it, appears to be fine, geez I think this is my queue to to just follow the problem solving flow chart, does it work? Good, don't mess with it.

I've slowly been replacing my 3 over the past few months. The last replacement arrived a few days ago. Having a plan for the EAs certainly made the decision easier. Openwrt with Tailscale runs nicely. Now family & friends can access my server again.

Unfortunately, no alpha images at that revision or newer available (yet). I had intended to push my luck and snag the webflash image to post for feedback.

seems to be wrong that then closing bracket is outside the #endif block in 55661

There was also this commit:

https://svn.dd-wrt.com/changeset/55666

EDIT: Perhaps there IS a typo in both (see screenshots of both commits from locally saved copy opened in notepad++):

ich würde mir Sorgen machen, wenn der Kompilier nicht meckert, sofern ein Target != der im #if gebaut wird

I have tried -r55677. I am coming from open-wrt and tried flashing the factory-to-ddwrt.img. The gui came up and I was able to turn on ssh. I looked to see what partition I was on with ubootenv list and got a "read size fail". Flashed the full dd-wrt-webupgrade.bin and there was no response. The lights flashed and it looked okay, but no DHCP, etc. Restarted 3 times and it was back to open-wrt. So, no boot loop. I will try flashing over serial tomorrow.
