Hi

since WRT350N is supported (01.12.2006) till now pre-RC4 there is a bug in DD-WRT.

http://Router-IP/Wireless_Basic.asp

If you change the

"Channel Width"
"Wide Channel"
"Wireless Channel"

and press the Save Button the values i have selected change. at the moment when i press Apply Settings Button it change a second time.

So i select

for example
"Channel Width" 40 MHz
"Wide Channel" 5
"Wireless Channel" 2

i press the Save Button

the values change automatically to

for example
"Channel Width" 40 MHz
"Wide Channel" 2
"Wireless Channel" 4

then i press the Apply Settings Button

the values change automatically a second time to

for example
"Channel Width" 40 MHz
"Wide Channel" 8
"Wireless Channel" 1

i cant fix this..

the only "bug-fix" is to connect via ssh and set the nvram variables manually
like this
"nvram set wl_channel=X"
"nvram commit"
"reboot"

i used Internet Explorer 6.0, Internet Explorer 7.0, Firefox and Opera - no change
i used beta firmwares, release candidates - no change

need help!

I have noticed this as well. Not sure what to make of it as it seems the router has a mind of it's own.

Bump. The channel selection mechanism for Draft-n devices really does appear to be well and truly broken. Changing either of the channel options results in a seemingly random change to it's counterpart upon pressing apply or save, and if you press save, then apply, it changes again! The status page is now reporting a totally different channel than either channel select box (previously it was showing the wide channel) too!

This problem does not happen with the Linksys firmware (1.03.7 or 1.05.8 beta). You can easily select the channel without any problems.
