please help me restore my wrt54g v.8 back to Linksys Factory defaults. i have dd-wrt v24 rc-3. i have had nothing but problems with this firmware. just want to restore linksys firmware. tryied to upload linksys firmware through dd-wrt webgui and nothing happens..... PLEASE HELP!!! thanks.

This has been asked many times.. If only you could learn search.

You need the files from Tornado's directory

Read the readme.txt, revert section

Well, easy on them yeah, but people should at least TRY the search. This is just lazy behaviour, which should not be rewarded IMO.

hi,
i have a wrt54gl v1.1 with DD-WRT v23 SP2 (09/15/06) on it and want to restore the original linksys firmware.
i searched the forum for restore and reversion but couldn't find anything specific for 54GL. is the tornado's stuff good for me too?
please help me.

No, it is not, do not try to use the reversion firmware on your box. there is another way I'm sure !

@mandarin....For the GL model only in this thread (not the V8 model)....go to linksys web site...download the firmware for your box....and just reflash your unit with the linksys version.

Administration>>firmware update page

That's it...no other tricks needed....other than a hard reset BEFORE and AFTER a firmware update.
