does anyone know how to carefully open the metal covers on the chips?...

ok

its no wrt600 clone
its more integrated.

cpu brm 4705
ram 2x 256mbit/32mb
dedicated a/n (brm4322l) and b/g/n band (whow) with MIMO

no problem so far but we dont know the switch chip. so we need a special build for activating the wan port as LAn so that we can access it even when the switch is not correctly detected.

Looks like the WAN port has a serial pinout opposite the ethernet pins. I wonder where we can get a cable to work with that port...

so far as is can see i would say the 14 pin header beside the switch near the flash chip is a jtag header


can someone add a header and test it plz?!

Can you send me a link to where I can get this header cable?

I'm planning to remove the big heat sink later this evening and update the pictures. Feels like it is stuck to the chip using glue.

What do you think the other two 14 pin headers are? Can you tell if the board has solder points for a dual USB header?

I can build this cable, looks like only 4 pins + GND need to be connected. But I don't have an LPT port, my three PCs are laptops.

Is there a pre-built USB based cable sold somewhere in the US?

i also have the soldering gun and accessories, but soldering is not as easy as it looks...
