Hallo together!
I want to buy the Linksys WRT160N Wireless Router. I think it is not to expensive und it seems to be a good working item.
Now I read here, that the WRT160N v2 is nocht supported by DD-WRT. Will this item be supported in future or for example is it locked and a support is impossible?
I mean if this item won't be supported in future, I would try to get the WRT160N v1.
Instead of donating a WRT160N v2.0
I am willing to chip in a small amount of fund
using PAYPAL for you guys to buy a new one in
Germany. Sending a new router from my country is
rather costly exercise, not to mention the postage
of sending it. Unless, some rich guy out there is
generous enough to send it free of charge.
Oh what a pitty because now I bought already a v2.0 of the WRT160N. I bought it in Germany at www.cyberport.de. In the bundle there was also the WUSB600N WLAN Stick included. I paid 79,90 Euro + shipping to my adress in Germany.
The WRT160N v2.0 is working stable but a higher WLAN Power of 251 would be very helpfull.
just would like to know if anything was found about the linksys wrt160n-ca router as i have one and i am looking to link it to a dlink dir 625 over wireless.
look under it
should be listed on the metallic cisco/linksys sticker
where the model number is
Hmm.. no, could find ut.. but took a chance, as this units seems to be over a year old (firmware was from dec 07) and installed DD-WRT for v1, and so far it seems to work
