In the past few years, you would've likely walked right by the Yaris' oddly proportioned predecessor, the Echo,[EKO? Coincidence? I think not] and opted to shop for one of its worthy subcompact competitors.

All Toyota Yaris models are powered by an economical 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine producing 106 horsepower and driving the front wheels.
So it's not electric; do not plug it in to either AC or DC power.

In reviews, we've found that when driving the Toyota Yaris around town, the word "competent" often comes to mind. Not "refined" or "sporty" or "fun"-- just "competent."
"Competent" is quite a compliment these days, especially if you are someone who is "running" the US economy.
The Yaris *does* have a remote fuel filler hatch release, so one thing you could do is activate that, then really fast jump out of the car and listen for something moving: that is where you put fuel in.
Note: page 66 of the owner's manual has a diagram, wherein the fuel filler door is on the left rear fender area. If you are driving, stay on the side of the car you are on when you get out. The filler door will be there.
Note: the sequence is very important: open the fuel filler door, then add fuel. If you add fuel, then open the fuel filler door, you will be standing in a large pool of fuel; whatever Darwin might think about this, it is environmentally unsound, as fuel can contaminate the local groundwater, or, if washed into streams, it will pollute other bodies of water as well.
Speaking of bodies, are there any in the trunk? _________________ WRT54G v1.1 DD-WRT v24-sp2 (07/22/09) std - build 12548 VINT Eko

In a move to save on costs Toyota elected to forgo a traditional fuel tank. Instead you just pump gas directly into the back seat. So just crack the rear window and fill away!

Really, guys, if she was a blonde with big boobs, some jackass would have already bought her a car. _________________ WRT54G v1.1 DD-WRT v24-sp2 (07/22/09) std - build 12548 VINT Eko
Ouch...i think the only way you will be able to get gas in it is via JTAG. Make sure you erase the nvram or else you will lose 5mpg....if you cant make a jtag ship it off to barryware and he'll be able to fix it for ya i'm sure....

Have you tried FTP? (Fuel transfer protocol). Might have to open a couple of ports.
You can try putting it into my unit, and we can see how much throughput we lose on a 1000 mile link. Seems to me the loss is about 26MPG on my unit. _________________ Warning: I'm "out of my element!"
