The dyndns API says that "Updates can be performed over HTTP or SSL-encrypted HTTPS (preferred)." However, my dd-wrt24sp1vpn hangs at "Connecting to server".

In addition, Trusted SIGnature (TSIG) can provide a way for secure dynamic dns updates. But haven't had any luck with this either.
"Dynamic DNS Updates via TSIG" is a howto, but doesn't mention dd-wrt. URL wraps to 2 lines.

soulstace, in 24sp1, choosing Custom from the DDNS list allows one to specify a url, do you why https doesn't work there?

https://username:password@members.dyndns.org/nic/update?hostname=yourhostname&myip=ipaddress&wildcard=NOCHG&mx=NOCHG&backmx=NOCHG

i have tried filling in the url, but hangs with "Connecting To Server" ...

because that link uses https which dd-wrt's DDNS client does not support.

I just created a new feature request for this. Speak up there if you want it added.

Thanks for putting in the feature request. Now i just have to find my trac username / password.

i changed a URL from DynDns to make it ssl, don't know if it is correct for DynDns.org or not.
