what method are you using to wirelessly connect?

are you using a wireless bridge or the XBOX 360 wireless USB adapter?

The bridge may cause ports not to be forwarded properly. I'm not an expert on the subject and I may be wrong, but I just know what happened when i tried things.

I am using the Official USB wireless device that attaches to the 360.

I'm using the M$ wireless USB adapter.

everything worked fine till last week.

i have a tip for u all. maybe not the most of best tips ever but it worked for me.

set your mtu to 1350 in stead of the 1500 a technical linksys advisor told me to try that. it may work for you too.

it solves connection drops.

Just an FYI -- I've been to two circuit cities. Each still had a ton of these routers. They are 70 percent off -- and are now 30 dollars. Obviously, they were originally priced very high... but 30 dollars is pretty good now.

You just have to weather the madmax-style shopping experience.

I've been following this thread since the day I bought the router. Well, 3 weeks ago I had problems with it. I couldn't browse at all. I could access the router and it could get an IP, but no browsing at all...

I had it RMA'ed, my supplier gave me a new one. Well, it's still in the box, sealed! I'm still waiting for the DD-WRT firmware for this.

Hey if you guys are still having problems with the DNS not resolving try this out...This is from the linksys/cisco forum's... someone has made a nice little tutorial with the link for the older actual working firmware ( for downgrading back to an earlier version of firmware that actually works...I did it and I have not had any DNS problems sense...

http://audipages.com/router/

Here's a link to the older firmware if you want to just grab it and install:

Also here is the linksys/cisco thread this is from and you can read the posts from everyone who did this and join in going off about the trouble 'we' have all had...

At least we can get some relief until they finish coding the dd-wrt firmware.. :D

Hope this helps...

I bought this router to replace an aging D-Link DI-524.
But my troubles was endless. The D-Link is back on duty now.

I will wait for dd-wrt and try this garbage again.

Getting a connection out was no problem, but when I tried to reach my apps from remote locations, the connection was dropped after a few minutes, sometimes seconds.

I had high hopes for Cisco but they did not pan out.

I wouldn't hold your breath on that.

This tread has been running almost 3 months and not even an update to say that the actually opened the box or even touched the router yet.

I feel a big letdown.

i'm going to start looking for other "distros" this one is taking way too much time

I got an email from the Devs. They say that the only piece they don't have working is the Ethernet Switch, and they're getting some vendor docs on that.

Hopefully not too much longer.

I am very happy to hear that news, I hope its legit.
Also, to all you people who were complaining about updates and such...Don't you know that when you post things like that, it only makes the devs hold off on giving updates? They like to see you squirm a little bit. They're an organized bunch and Im pretty sure they want to put their firmware on this thing just as much as we want to put it on ours.

I cannot make any connection more then 54megabits...whatever i do...In basic wireless settings there is no option for wide 40mhz, just auto and standard 20..in advanced whatever i changed im on 54megabits...I cannot feel the power of N, and im very sad:(((

I think that has to do more with your wireless adapter software and not the router itself.
