I have Linksys WRT54GL flashed with DD-WRT v24-sp1 ( 07/27/08 ) vpn. The thing is, recently I have discovered that my wi-fi is acting weirdly.

I get full signal of my home wifi when scanning for nearby wifi connections from my laptop but after connecting, the signal starts dropping and browsing speed starts reducing coming to a point where there is no internet activity at all.

This is not the issue with the laptop as i have tested the same with my other 2 laptops and also my wifi enabled cell phones.

I have even tried to change the configuration like enabling/disabling WPA2-Personal encryption. But still same problem.

Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Thanks in advance.

SP1 is not a good build. You should use SVN11296. Take a look through the sticky posts.

This is also a common problem for people running torrents.

Update:

I have disabled the MAC filter and then got the wireless working perfectly.

Note: I have enabled the WPA2 Personal encryption.

Hope this will help others who are still struggling.
