After setting up wrt610n, my PCs in the network are not able to access internet. But, I do get the WAN IP Address on the router and when I ssh to the router, I can successfully ping google.com and get the reply back also. However, from the network PCs, I get no reply for pinging google.com

My settings are still default, from firmware dd-wrt.v24-12103_mega-wrt610n.bin and did not change anything.

From the web interface, I found out following:
- Setup - VLANs: WAN Port is not assigned to any vlan and even if I assign it to any vlan (also tried with vlan2 which is selected by default in Setup - Networking - Port Setup - WAN Port Assignment) and click Save and then Apply Settings, the WAN Port again becomes deselected.
- Setup - Networking: Shows no defined bridge and I cannot make any changes to this page. After trying, I found out there is a javascript error on this page and I guess the bridge (br0) is defined but cannot be listed here because of the javascript error.

From the ssh, I found out the bridge settings which is also shown in the attachment.

Check the attachments for details.

Please let me know how can I solve the issue related to web browsing from network PCs.

Thanks in advance.

Hi!

Is it a good choice to buy the WRT610N-DE and use it with the DD-WRT software right now, or should I still wait a little bit longer or even buy another router? If so, could you tell me one with a similar hardware (that works with the DDWRT)?

Thanks in advance

if you can live without dual band, i think the 310 is doing well. if you have to have dual band, buy another router, development on the 610 is pretty much stalled. there are new releases, but no progress is being made, and there is zero communication from the devs on the issues.

1. DD-WRT is still WIP for WRT610N but it is usable with several instabilities.
2. I have more problems using Linksys firmware.
3. If you can live with a non simultaneous dual band then get 310N
4. I personally recommend 610N for backwards compatibility with Wii, mobile phones, laptops etc.
5. I'm not sure if there are any simultaneous dual bands supporting DD-WRT. (Correct me if i'm wrong)

Current uptime 1 Day 4 Hrs Both Radios on.
wl0 only used barely.

Eko - do you have any plans to work on getting the WRT610n to become stable with both radios enabled? Do you need a 610n in order to do this? Would it help if everyone got together and chipped in some $$ so we can get you a 610n?

Just want to see if there is anything we can do to assist in getting the WRT610 to be stable with both radios.

Thanks for you hard work - it IS appreciated!

Please anybody try if this build works for setting tx power.

check with

wl -i eth1 txpwr1

or eth0, eth2, eth3 ... you will see where are the radios.

then change tx power in gui and try again.

eth0:
TxPower is 52 qdbm, 13.00 dbm, 20 mW Override is Off

eth1:
TxPower is 127 qdbm, 31.75 dbm, 1496 mW Override is Off

eth2:
wl:-i eth2 txpwr1 ->wl driver adapter not found

The two wireless LANs are eth0 and eth1?? why eth1 power is so high?

2,4Ghz and 5Ghz are right now on 20mw

PD: I forget to mention i'm using version DD-WRT v24-sp2 (05/12/09) mega - build 12103M NEWD Eko

Could you upload a mega version with that powerfix?

Just tried your mini version and the result are exactly the same, the changes in tx power only work in eth0
