If the bootloader is really gone, the only thing would be JTAG I think. I don't know if a serial cable is enaugh.

JTAG Examples can be found in the forum.

Therefore I don't know. I never used a JTAG or Serial-Cable. Sorry.

I think, if you wait some hours, there will be someone with JTAG knowledge to answer you.

//EDIT:

Perhaps you can ask a mod moving this thread to
Broadcom based (Wi)SoC:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=1

There may be more people reading this problem.

I would...but this isn't a broadcom unit...and I don't have a CFE(bootloader) for this model.

But I would suggest you go to the Broadcom forum and read up on some of the JTAG information...it will give you a better idea of how it works...the problem is...JTAG isn't supporting RaLink processors...to my knowledge....you might be stuck on this one.

if you, by any chance, have found a way to access the flash and need the bootloader: i just made a dump of my whr-g300n memory excluding the nvram

http://andrej.in/whrg300n_flash.rar

Code:

dev:    size   erasesize  name
mtd0: 00030000 00010000 "uboot"
mtd1: 00010000 00010000 "uboot-config"
mtd2: 00010000 00010000 "factory-defaults"
mtd3: 003a0000 00010000 "linux"
mtd4: 002ce000 00010000 "rootfs"
mtd5: 00010000 00010000 "nvram"

good luck!

I believe that this unit does NOT have a jtag port. And you can't get serial port access without a working CFE.

So....I think you might have added to the worldwide landfill problem.

How did you manage to erase the CFE?
