Any more info on what functions you have running on the router?
I've got 2 of these and they're running 12966 currently and are stable.
I was also using 12874, which was also stable for me.
12966 patches a few things on the WHR-G300N _________________ Soylent Green Is People !

Netgear Nighthawk R7000 - DD-WRT Build R46220
Linksys EA8500 - OpenWRT IPQ806x Trunk R16375 5.4 Kernel
I actually figured out what the issue was. I am using 4 wire ethernet cables (phone line with ethernet connectors on the end) because I am only running 10/100 LAN. This setup worked great with my WRT54G's, but it is flakey with the WHR-G300N. Don't know if it is the hardware or the current build of DD-WRT (12966). I am still running my 4 wire ethrenet cable, but I send it through a switch then connect that switch to my WHR-G300N with a regular 8 wire ethrenet cable. Here is a link to another thread that describes the whole thing :)
My problem is MAC address crazyness. I will get a weird abcd.efgh...... type of MAC addresses off the usual AB.CD.EF.GH....
It conflicted my server and I had to revert to 12533.
I'm hoping that the 12966 resolved these issues.
The were talking about your issue in the WHR-G300N Support thread... from what I read the issue has been resolved with build 12966. Thanks for your hard work BS!
I am having stability issues with r12966. Wireless is very finicky (just in regular AP mode) and requires multiple power cycles. Wired functions seem fine while this is occurring.
I have reverted back to r12672 and it seems stable again. Has anyone else seen this?
Does Brainslayer make available changelogs/release notes so we can get a sense what is changing with each build?

Loaded 12966 and so far so good. Connection feels a bit slower, will ping all night long on the server to all over the world to see the out come tomorrow.

Build 12874 and build 12966 were both working fine on my 2 - WHR-G300N's
I would try this.
1) Reset router - just hold reset button in for about 20+ seconds.
All the lights should flash off, then start coming back on again.
Leave the router alone for about 2 minutes.
2) Log in to gui, set a user/password, flash 12966 and choose
the 'reset to defaults' option as well, and flash the firmware.
Leave it alone for a couple minutes.
3) Log in to GUI and setup your router as before.
If you need to reset to defaults again, just hold reset button in for
about 20+ seconds and then wait a couple of minutes again. _________________ Soylent Green Is People !
