I am starting this thread and posting this firmware for autobot. Here are his comments:

I have just finished modifying Eko's latest 12774 micro plus ssh and added usb storage, printing, and autoap removed ssh and pppd to make room. No cgi, but it works. . . start a new thread for my edited build so we can diagnose and such.

The file name doesn't contain plus in the name, but it is based on micro plus ssh therefore you may need a compressed CFE (if you have only 2 Megabytes of flash), look here for more information.

Thanks modervador, this is for all who have wanted these features but didn't have the room. Tested on a usr5461, works good but I don't have a printer to test.

Can't you just go to:

http://RouterIP/user/autoap.htm

Right, it is not my intention to make the firmware unsafe in any way. This was built out of necessity for me and those who need usb printing and storage on 2MB flash units, autoap was just thrown in which is why I didn't know about the /user/autoap.htm way of doing it. But as a sidenote, since the script exists in the firmware you can just copy it over to /tmp and use VI to make needed adjustments and run it from there.

I may look into doing an alternative httpd with cgi enabled (autoap only) build if there is a big need for that, my net is down currently and that hinders my uploading capabilities. Stuck with my blackberry for now, so I can email these small builds to myself and forward them on. Smartphone, truly a bunch of BS.

Anyone confirm printing with p910nd? Its not the optware version and want to know it indeed works. I know usb storage and autoap works as designed.

Thanks modervador, this is for all who have wanted these features but didn't have the room. Tested on a usr5461, works good but I don't have a printer to test. Flash and post your issues or thoughts.

Hi autobot,

I gave this a try but it doesn't seem to work for me at all. I can only access the router admin webpage if its not connected to WAN and I'm connecting via wireless. Using other USR5461 builds work fine, but this one in particular does not work for me.

Just a bit more detail:
I gave this a try twice. The first time, was the very first time I flashed my USR5461. I flashed from the original firmware to the one posted above using the web interface (I compiled tsr2usr for windows and ran it on the provided bin file first). It wasn't stable (being connected to WAN, and having LAN connections caused dd-wrt web gui to not be usable) so I flashed it (using dd-wrt web interface with no devices connected other than a single wireless client) to a different version (generic) that did work. I tried to flash again to the above bin, but the dd-wrt web interface complained about the file being invalid. So I flashed it using the alternative method (ping, unplug, uplad via tftp). The web interface again was unusable when WAN and LAN connections were connected, so I just reflashed it back to generic.
