I would also like to express my interest in DD-WRT porting the WNDR3700 as well. Although the Netgear GUI/firmware is okay for this router, I like the advanced options and flexibility of the DD-WRT version. I've seen a friend's WRT54 with DD-WRT and I am very impressed. All involved in the creation of DD-WRT should be proud, you all have done a great job.

If there is anything I can do, please let me know.

I'm definalty interested in DD-WRT running on the WNDR3700 also, heck I'd even pay for it if I had to! been running DD-WRT on a linksys WRT54GS V1.1 box for a while, use to having more features!

Definitely could use a better firmware other then what came with the router. Stock firmware is very limited in options.

stock firmware does everything I need really *but* I'd love to have the flexibility that DD-WRT gives you...

Well, somebody could try installing the latest dd-wrt version...like CapnBry did with the WNDR3300 http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=27684&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Someone with an extra WNDR3700 maybe. I would do it if my wife would agree not to kick my butt if I bricked a brand new router.

Any takers?

Since Asus (RT-N16) dropped the ball on dual radio, this looks like a good runner-up choice...that is, assuming DD-WRT will even run on it (not that it's running on said RT-N16 either). Wink

I hope it doesn't take too long to port this over to the 3700. I'm really missing dd-wrt, but this thing is fast and the throughput it great, but come on, no WOL support? Sad

Yes, this is a very nice router but the firmware could be better. I did find this though...

Picture attached, must be logged in to see.
