Just flashed my WRT600N with Eko 13320 newd2 big. Working on both radios simultaneously with great speeds, port forwarding handling DDNS, etc. It appears stable so far...flashed up from 12966 which I rolled back to after I found Brainslayer 13064 to be unsatisfactory. I believe we have a good one here.

I use newd-2 big on my wrt600n 1.1 and I use newd std on wrt54gs v1

I must say, This is the best sp2 candidate ever! I have tested fore some time and all functions work in AP mode.
This Is the first built that support WRT600N (v1.1) without the ARP problems between LAN and WAN (The macs on this router was a mess). Then I installed it worked as it shod right of the box.

but..
One bug I found is WDS support. I don't know what or why this wds have the problem.
1
I needed configure 2 or 3 times to work, although I used same procedure and settings. The system started to run in wds after I configure RB/CB-mode and then configured to wds.
2
I have 3 AP configured in WDS. Al works grate if I don't hit apply button or reboot in one of AP:s. (apply button makes radio reboot, I think).

3
DNSMasq
I found that DNSMasq is little unstable. I had my static computers running ok, but DHCP refused to give IP to my WiFi nokia phone. The apply butto fixed this (the reboot would fix it, because you need to reboot DNSMasq).

-------------Big thanks to Eko and Sebastian!!!-------------

Various build sizes are working great for me too. I tested 13228 yesterday...but there were severe problems with the micro_plus build running notifier...I'm glad to see in trac that he took it out for the micro builds.

I am now running 13230 NEWD_micro_plus on the Gv5 and it is working great.

Thanx for your hard work BS and Eko.

A little bad news here..

a 610 running the 610 BIG build..

Site survey does not work on wl1. I saw a bunch of work in trac in regards to site survey and vwiz but still does not work on wl1 (5ghz)

They changed things around a bit in regards to the wireless network mode selection. On wl1 we now have:

Disabled, mixed, bg-mixed (this is new), b-only, g-only, n-only, a-only, and na-only.

In na-only, "A" clients can still not connect. mixed still leaves the radio down in the 2.4ghz band with only channels 1 ~ 14 available.

I set it to A only and then A clients can connect. However any medium to heavy traffic causes the router to crash.

When setting this up, I went through everything and left the wireless for last. It is configured as dual access point at this time.

I set up wl1 1st and did a bit of testing. Then I enabled wl0. When I enabled wl0, the router again crashed and was completely unaccessible. It would not ping but there was activity being shown by the lan port led. A power cycle was needed to bring back the functionality.

In summary: NA-only will not allow A clients to connect. A-only allows A clients to connect but the router crashes with any more than "light" traffic. Not a reboot, just needs a power cycle to get it back. Site survey and vwiz don't work on 5ghz band.

Site survey and vwiz are known issues. I thought after looking at trac, it would be functional.

I have a ticket filed in trac in regards to A clients. I suspect the devs watch these build threads so no need to file another one or bump the existing one.

Since it has been a while since we had a new build, I will remind folks that this is the build thread. Please report your experiences with this build, good and bad, so people can evaluate this build. Please do NOT ask questions about how to configure your router on this thread, or discuss configuration questions. Start another post with those issues. Otherwise, this thread becomes a mess and hard for people to read to get info from. For that reason, off topic discussion unfortunately has to be deleted.

Also, if you are new to dd-wrt, please note that this is a brand new experimental build. It is released for the purposes of testing and sometimes testing does go wrong. You should be familiar with how to flash properly and how to recover your router if things go bad.

Do not use NEWD-2 unless you have checked and are SURE your router is compatible with NEWD-2! NEWD-2 is harsh with incompatible router, and turns many of them into bricks.

Upgraded my 600N V1.1 from svn 12268 to newd-2 big and noticed significant performance improvements
Wireless N transfer of a 344MB file was under 1 minute at approx 51-55Mbps,Wireless G of the same file was 2-3 minutes at approx. 12-23Mbps. Web speed tests from speedtest.net show transfers at what my ISP is supposed to be 10M down/2 up.
Initial setup went smooth after my 30-30-30
Thanks Devs Very Happy

I have plugged the newd_std_NOnothing version on my 150N running as a third WDS router with WPA2-AES and it appears to be working fine.

I have tried video streaming and am getting good throughput.
