bump post. This was very entertaining. While I can't come even close to you guys, I'm pretty proud of my humble little setup.
My setup consists of a D-link DGL-4500 and a Linksys WRT54G v2. Only the linksys is running dd-wrt. Use to only be the D-link, but then I needed a router capable of issuing a Wol magic packet, and suddenly dd-wrt was back in the limelight. Only this time around I discovered a ton more about the firmware, and truly obsessed now.
I'm hoping to justify a newer Linksys model (leaning towards a 610N v2) as I really like the NAS ability, and am not happy with Dlinks shareport implimitation of it. (Works buts after 1-2 days up time, you have to reboot the router. Also it's flaky across computers. It will work consistently pending restarts on one computer, but flaky on the wifes mac, and a few of my laptops.)
What this thread REALLY needs though is pictures. I propose we bump this up a little. Don't just tell us about your router glory, show US!
I for one, would love to geek out about some of your setups.

Just got a WNDR3300.. That makes 21
Looks nice.. Is it any good? New in the box. Aside from fixing a couple of netgears, I have no "testing" experience with them. _________________ [Moderator Deleted]

I really haven't put mine in a real world situation, But I have tested every mode (cept Gateway and WDS) with both radios. Seems like a descent router. _________________ Peacock Thread-FAQ -- dd-wrt Wiki

Yeah...the WNDR3300 is a real nice router. If you only need one N radio...it works just fine. (abgn = wl0 and bg = wl1) From what I can see...the only drawback is that it doesn't have external antennas....but the 8 internal (on the mobo) seem to work just fine even in a real world scenario.

Wrong thread butt..
Stock firmware.. maybe 80%+ performance when compared to my 600 on both bands (radio performance).
DD-wrt... less than 1/2.. Signal strength, throughput, etc..
Took the 600 out of service and replaced it with the wndr and tested..
Disappointing to say the least.. Looks real nice though.. _________________ [Moderator Deleted]
