im kind of angry with the whole license situation. why should there be two separate license for super channel and to use wireless cards.

surely 1(PAID) license should be sufficient to activate both features.

im kind of baffled with DD-WRT is this an open source project or commercial.

its even hard to get any questions answered in this place.

easy answer why there are to activations cause there are also systems out there not needing superchannel (its illegal in most countries or if your not HAM) and there is also consumer hw which is super channel capable.

so if you need it ur suggesting we pay a premium.

im trying to differentiate between a paid customers and a proprietary router customer.

there is no difference. the bugs are present in both paid/free ie linksys/buffalos

a x86 paid users doesnt have any added benefit.

what should entice a user to pay for a license. rather than buy a router

regarding the wireless channel. that is up to the user. netgear firmware gives the option to select your country and provides the relevant channels to select. it is the user that decides. if you are caught by the law that is the user problem.

And I've got Buffalo WHR-HP-G300N

Seems, everything must be prelicensed for this model as it will be officially DD-WRD-ed in a day or two...

Why must I pay for axtra licenze?

Can't I just acquire my activation code?

Agree i just installed brianlayer latest firmware, and SURPRISE! SURPRISE, Brian is f*** us.

Its inmoral they charge for a feature on a router that is officially sponsored by Buffalo-DD-WRT agreement, Also it may violate those agreement.

I'm so pitty on DD-WRT management on this.
