Hi
The latest test build (http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/03-24-10-r14144/broadcom_K26/dd-wrt.v24-14144_NEWD-2_K2.6_big.bin) bricked my router

Iam busy with debrick.

I download the original firmware from linksys
and i can store it with tftp
I got response bytes 32 time =1 ttl=100 so its alive
But the power led won't stop blinking
I read peakok number 6

Any idea

Thnx

You can't easily reinstall the original linksys firmware, not after running the vxworks killer, which installs a different CFE, which won't work with stock linksys firmware.

You'll need to download a known working dd-wrt firmware for that router, and tftp that.

EDIT: I'm not sure, but I don't think the NEWD-2 version will work on some of those routers. Don't quote me on that, tho.

How good are your soldering skills (or a friend's soldering skills). You might need to just bite the bullet and give it some jtag love.

Jtag is not the universal solution, in this case it will be easier to connect a serial terminal and erase nvram and kernel from that one.
You'll need an RS-232 to TTL serial converter or a USB to TTL converter, $5 on Ebay.
Nokia DKU-5 or CA-42 is the name of the USB to TTL converter.
