Long time reader/user: First post.
i recently decided to updgrade my firmware to the latest brainslayer build.
dd-wrt.v24-14929_NEWD-2_K2.6_big
Everything seemed to work fine except when i tried to run Netflix on my Ipad over wireless.
I could not play instant queue movies, videos etc... essentially streaming was broken.
I could surf the web just fine.
I could even access netflix.com via safari on the ipad.
However whenever i tried to stream netflix movies via the netflix app i got this error "unable to reach netflix.com".
I figured the only thing i had changed recently was my router firmware. So i did the following.
Please note that i could via a wired connection still stream netflix movies on my PS3 and when i went to work i could stream netflix movies on my ipad via wireless (over my work wireless network connection). It was only over wireless at home on my ddwrt router that it would not work on my ipad.
I went ahead and installed
dd-wrt.v24-14896_NEWD-2_K2.6_big
dd-wrt.v24-14853_NEWD-2_K2.6_big
dd-wrt.v24-14848_NEWD-2_K2.6_big
in that order.
After installing each one i'd test my netflix app on my ipad. each one failed to stream netflix videos and would give me the same error. "unable to reach netflix.com"
After installing this version
dd-wrt.v24-14826_NEWD-2_K2.6_big
My netflix problems were fixed!
I was again able to stream netflix videos on my ipad!
There seems to be some setting that conflicts with streaming netflix videos over wireless in newer builds of DDWRT.
dd-wrt.v24-14826_NEWD-2_K2.6_big seems to work just fine.
Thought i should share this and hope it gets fixed in newer builds.
Last note: I'm using a wrt610N V1

I'm having a similar problem. I'm using dd-wrt.v24-14896_NEWD-2_K2.6_big on a WRT610N v2 with an iPhone 3G using the latest Netflix v1.1.0 app. When I try to play a movie while connected to my WRT610N via wifi, I get "Loading Movie" for a few seconds and then it closes the movie and returns me to the previous page. If I disable wifi and switch to 3G, it loads without a problem. Anyone have any ideas?
Using dd-wrt.v24-14896_NEWD-2_K2.6_big on my rt-n16 and have the exact same problem, as are a few people on macrumors. I'm using an iPhone 4 with the new netflix app and am experiencing the same issues as are people with ipads/ipod touches/other iphones. I'm glad I was able to narrow it down to my wifi/firmware so I could find this thread and confirm what I found out. Also glad klidec seems to have found a workaround for now(downgrade firmware).
edit: just downgraded to build 14815 and it seems to have fixed the problem.
Wow. Exact same problem -- iPad connected to DD-WRT on a Linksys WRT310N running build 14896. Got the loading movie screen, then it went to another as if the video was going to play (all red background) and then something to the effect of 'your movie is almost ready to play' before popping back to the previous screen where I selected the movie.
Saw this thread, downgraded to 14311, Netflix now works!
Now I need to research why the iPad slows the DDWRT radio down to dual digit Mbps
I'm having this issue as well trying to use the new Netflix app on my iPhone 4 and a Linksys WRT160Nv3. Good to know I can roll back to a previous version. Anyone know what's causing it? I checked my port forwards/uPnP and firewall and that seemed fine.
I can confirm the same problem with my 310N v1. I had to downgrade to dd-wrt.v24-14826_NEWD-2_openvpn_jffs_small version for netflix to work on my iPhone & iPad.
If anyone does have an idea of what to test, I'm willing to help. I still have two other wrt310n v1's I use as client bridges running the current builds. I can easily alternate between those to test the netflix issue but I'm not sure what to look/sniff for.

Also having this issue. Can stream just fine over 3G, movies will not play over wi-fi. Running WRT610n v1. v24-sp2 (07/28/10) mega (SVN revision 14853M NEWD-2 Eko). iPhone 4 w 4.02
I know this temp work around won't apply to everyone but I am able to stream over wi-fi if I connect to my PPTP-VPN. Not sure if that helps with finding an actual solution.
