I just wanted to make this clear.
If you're having issues wondering what version of the WNR2000 you have (like I was), then the N300 IS the version 2.
The Netgear hardware apparently has a thing about not posting hardware versions on the boxes. At least this was the issue at Frys and about 5 Netgear routers I was looking at. Actually, it isn't even on the router itself. On chance, I bought the N300 and hoped it was the WNR2000 (version 2). As soon as you open the CD, it says WNR2000v2. Confirmed at web GUI.
Hope this helps anyone that's getting frustrated as I did!
