If you check that pic, looks like the 2nd RAM chip is partially blocked by the cover?

I think the specs LOM listed were 8MB flash and 64MB ram for these.

------------

Edit: Hmmm - looks like the 3301 only has 32MB - 1 ram chip?

430x one's have 2 - 32MB chips - so 64MB ram?

Looks like they're starting to use DDR2 RAM in some of the routers.

http://www.etron.com/manager/uploads/EM68B16C%20rev1.5.pdf

Datasheet link

512Mb
32Mx16
EM68B16CWPA
2.5, 3 1.8V, SSTL_18 84-ball FBGA,Pb and Halogen Free
0~85°C

So - looks like a 32MB chip?

Does the board have 2 of them? 64MB of ram on these boards?

I think you answered your own question on the first line, 32M x 16 = 64MByte

Hi Eko,just after two days after I flash my 3302 with dd-wrt.v24-15172_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-f7d3302.bin
I have some problem with radio part , It hard to connect , then I rise power to 200 mW and it show good indicator in windows system but it has unstable speed and low performance(low as 1Mbps) ,I just 5 meters away from AP and connect with 11G mode ,I try to change CH but it no good either.

Eko newest build is work ,flash direct from belkin webUI and here is cfe.bin that you request ,I wait for megabuild that support s for SMB file sharing and printer sharing if it possible

Thankyou for that cfe, I have the belkin play F7D4302v1 that I was experimenting with trying to JTAG before tornado released TJTAG 3.0.2 RC1 and somehow I messed up the CFE on it. I posted the wholeflash for it earlier in this post when the router was working, but couldn't get it to flash back to the router so I downloaded your cfe and edited mac's and JTAG loaded it to the router and it works.

I saw your cfe was for the F7D3302 and I hope it won't be an issue later, but I thought what do I have to lose. Haven't found the cfe for the F7D4302v1 yet. Has all the same hardware except the external 5ghz radio, so I figured the cfe would be the same.

I haven't loaded any firmware on the router yet, but at least I get a CFE prompt now. all I was getting before this from the serial output was

-----------------------------------------------
Decompressing...done
Decompressing...done

Then nothing.

Now I get this.

Invalid boot block is because thier is no firmware on it at the moment, but at least it is alive again.

THANKYOU nattapan for the cfe

Yay, I am so happy.

Can someone tell me WITH this means: Mistake! There was an attempt of an automatic insert of the message in a forum. Your message is not posted. Try still times who knows - can it will turn out? Still probably, that you too long wrote the message - then pass to page back, copy the text, update page, insert the copied text and press button "Send".

Have wasted half the morning trying to post for progress/problems, keep getting that garbled message!

well... with 3302 cfe will only take (flash) 3302 builds and will be detected as 3302 too.

Why wont you take cfe back from your 8mb flash backup. It is first 192k bytes.

I tried that but I think that upload is messed up or something. TJTAG kept freezing at 39% uploaded.

I just put stock belkin 4302 firmware on it via tftp and am reuploading via web gui now, and gui accepted the 4302 firmware as well as gui is reporting it as model F7D4302 Ver 1000. and shows 5Ghz radio settings.

Everything appears ok at this point Eko.

Edit --- I take that back. It failed to find firmware on reboot.

Anybody have a cfe for the belkin play F7D4302v1 that they could email me or post.

If it accepts 4302 firmware then you have a 4302 cfe,
the 3302 cfe will not accept a 4302 firmware.

It's not now, It must have been the stock firmware that I uploaded using tftp running on it that accepted the image, however the actuall cfe mini web server is not.

It reply's with

The file transferred is not a valid firmware image.

and serial prompt says this on cfe mini web upload of firmware.

CFE> tcb->tcb_rcvnext=d0ce8d4b seqnum=d0ce8f63
tcb->tcb_rcvnext=d0ce8f63 seqnum=d0ce917b
Invalid magic. This is not a TRX image.
TRX check magic for QA firmware = 12345678
Assume magic 0x20090928, Current magic 0x20091006

Exactly, the cfe is expecting a 3302 magic but has found that the firmware has a 4302 magic.

Do as Eko said, reflash the cfe from your wholeflash but with first 256KB of it.
The cfe is actually only 192KB so you will also get 64KB of kernel flashed but it is needed for tjtag which expects the cfe to be 256KB.

Ok, I will give it another try with the first 256kb of my wholeflash.

I will let you know the results when it's done.

Not exactly right... you can as well feed it with 192k file and it will flash it and exit - save some time for last 64k Smile
