Hi,

i´m not sure if the wrt120n has an atheros chipset...

according to this it shoud have one:
https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/ViewExhibitReport.cfm?mode=Exhibits&RequestTimeout=500&calledFromFrame=N&application_id=692760&fcc_id=%27Q87-WRT120N%27

so here ist my question:
i read at some websites that dd-wrt can be used with this router.

unfortunately it´s not listet in supported-hardware at dd-wrt.com...

can anybody confirm that dd-wrt will work on it ?

thanks, chocs

Yes, it's Atheros-based.

The board looks like it has two chips of interest -- an AR7240-AH1E and an AR9285-AL1E.

I don't think it will currently work, but perhaps someone more knowledgeable can provide guidance.

anyone have any updates about running dd-wrt on the wrt120n? I ended up buying one this week and as usual the stock linksys firmware has been disappointing. I googled around without much luck, but did see someone posted(on a random forum) a year ago that they had dd-wrt working.

Probably not gonna happen any time soon. There have been requests for other Atheros based devices but not a lot of progress. And after a quick search at the OpenWrt forums I didn't find anything there either.
