Existing setup:

1) Uverse - 2Wire RG (in basement on telco board)
2) All 3 TV's on Cat 5.
3) Netgear WGT624v3 on main floor (very ill - near death - reason for this post)
4) Both WiFi's hot but only really need 1 strong one on main floor.
5) Current WiFi use = iphone, ipad, printer, corporate laptop (vpn)
6) Current Cat5 hardline = 3 Uverse STB, Mac Mini, Netgear router (see#3).
7) Ethernet access/ability to run more cat 5 strategically either done, or not a problem. Using 2 Netgear switches (non-wifi) now.

WANT:
1) Seamless trouble free VPN through Wifi on second router (main floor)
2) All devices on same domain as 2Wire RG - unless you have an effective simple alternative. (VPN seems to like same domain better - not sure of the details behind this, but it behaves much better.)
3) N capability (currently no N devices in the house, but you know)
4) Icing on cake = usb port for back up drive
5) rockin' reliability after setup - I'm more interested in being productive than jacking around with my internet/vpn connection every other day.
6) Would like to put printer back on Cat 5 if same domain as RG won't be an issue.
7) Don't forget ~dd-wrt support~

I'm more user/novice thats not afraid to dig in a bit. I fundamentally understand dynamic/static/domains etc, but take no joy in "experimenting for experimenting's sake"

What top 3 routers fit the bill? Budget = $80~120.

Thanks tons in advance!
