I am in the process of trying to set up a web server. I forwarded port 80 with DDWRT to my local IP address that my web server computer is using. I am able to access the web site locally but still not from an external computer. What I don't understand is, how can I still log into DDWRT with a local IP address on port 80 if 80 is being forwarded to my web server? It appears that DDWRT isn't forwarding the port.

The port forward NAT's traffic to [WAN IP]:80 which doesn't affect your ability to access the router's web server at [LAN IP]:80. If you access the router's [WAN IP]:80 from within your LAN then you should get forwarded to your web server. This topic comes up often and I'm in the process of writing a wiki page for it so keep an eye on the page for the next few days.
