Thx!!

I have uploaded webrevert for version 3 earlier and that file also works on v3.2.

NO!!! I have wr941nd v.3.2 and your earlier uploaded webrevert for version 3 on this page (http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=40041&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=150) DON'T back my original firmware from TP-LINK Sad
Yes, webrevert firmware upgrade process from DD-WRT GUI finished OK but after rebooting I'm still have DD-WRT Mad

Please, make correct webrevert firmware for wr941nd v.3.2. Thx!

P.s. I like DD-WRT but after rebooting my settings don't save (last dd-wrt firmware from 08/12/2010). Hard reset and 30/30/30 don't help with this problem.

YES it works with v3.2 in general but it depends on the flash chip used.

That your settings are not saved is because dd-wrt does not support the flash chip mfgr in your router so it can not write to the flash.
You can further prove that by upgrading to a later (or downgrading to an earlier) version of dd-wrt and you will see that after reboot you still have your current version.

The same goes for the webrevert file, it is accepted by dd-wrt as a valid file but dd-wrt can not write it to the flash chip.

Your only option now is to flash a stock firmware via tftp immediately after the router is started.
The time window when the boot loader looks for a tftp transfer is extremely short on TP-Link so you may have to use a serial connection inside the router in order to stop the boot sequence and get the tftp transfer to start.

Hab natürlich v3.2 Evil or Very Mad

Sorry, if i blame myself as stupid but what does this mean to me as an user of an WR941ND ?
Is there a new release which fixed the problem with the flash chip and if yes how can i apply this release because currently i'm in the state that i can't flash anything ?

Many thanks.

Now i'm facing the problem, that my Nokia ca-42 cable is having three wires (black, red and white) but the board is having 4 pins (or connection points).
Which one can i skip and is there a way to find out which color connect to which pin. I can't have a look into the original connector because it is one of these connectors which are sealed.
Again many thanks for all help.

Regards.

You don't need +3.3V only tx,rx, and gnd.

One of your 3 wires is gnd and it will measure close to 0 ohm against the gnd pin in the USB connector using a multi-meter in resistance measurement mode.

The other 2 are then obviously rx and tx, verify by holding them together while typing on the keyboard in your terminal program. The keys you type will echo back on the screen through the loopback you have created.

Connect all 3 wires to the router, don't care about which one is tx and which one is rx.
Turn on the router, if you don't get any text from u-boot within 2 seconds then swap rx and tx wires.
