hello together,

connected to the internet through dd-wrt, i got the following speed:

directly connected to the same internet (which means connecting the wan cable directly to my pc), my speed is like this:

upload is quite ok, but where is the other half of my downstream bandwidth?

qos settings are enabled and set to 120000 down and 5700 up..

many thanks for help Smile

That's because DD-WRT is not running the correct switch drivers for Gigabit K26 routers. Max MTU is only 1500 which routes at ~ 100Mb/s.

Essentially, even though you have a gigabit router, It's DD-WRT that has the broken NET_IF therefore producing those results.

You should try TomatoUSB, they support Jumboframes and CTF (specifically Victek and Toastman builds):

thank you very much for your reply..

so if dd-wrt is only using old drivers, can it be upgraded to a newer version which supports a higher bandwidth?

as a workaround I disabled qos and got a download stream ~60kbps but it is not really a solution.

maybe an update to the newer version of dd-wrt?

the fastest way now is to load tomatousb fw directly from dd-wrt that waiting for new drivers implementation.

thank you again :)

it seems that there is also a dd-wrt workaround:

regarding to kongs mod, he found a solution:

and a very good network speed benchmark for serveral firmwars:

Damn y'all get great internet speeds in general. Since here TWC's max offering is 30Mb/sec, the older dd-wrt drivers have little effect for me! Smile
