Hi Guys
lets do a poll on the Atheros units we should create a DD-WRT Special Edition for. Since this takes development and support time only support very popular units make sense. units suggestions and a explanation why to support this unit is welcome.
"...Our special DD-WRT standard distribution which an additional PPPOE-Relay, Per User Bandwith Control and Zero IP Hotspot. Updates will be provided per email (on request). We will add additional features in this release. Feature upgrades are free for our customers..." _________________ Forum Guidelines...How to get help

Don't these units already have this? Anyway, WNDR3700.
Why? Its a proven unit, high TX power, great sensitivity, good amount of flash and RAM, best consumer CPU as of this post, LAN <-> LAN throughput is through the roof. There is competition with units of that list, IMO the DIR-825 should be in it... its the next one down from WNDR3700. _________________ [BROADCOM] Linksys E3000 ------------> [BS] DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/15/13) mega - build 21286

I would vote for the WNDR3700 but only after the wireless bugs are fixed. Please don't go charging for some special edition unless it works properly.....
dont blame use for bugs we're not responsible for... _________________ Forum Guidelines...How to get help

I am for WNDR3700(v2). It's getting more and more popular among power users and thanks to its 5GHz part it can unleash the full potential of 802.11n standard.

I replaced V1 with V2. I notice V2 runs cooler than V1 for sure. Just barely warm to touch.

Their current port has a routing bug in it if you connect the wan port with a static ip it throws in a bogus 0.0.0.0 route that turns the unit into an AP only.
